Heavy traffic at drop off and pick up times is usual. We recommend avoiding roads within roughly 1000 metres of Great Baddow High School. This includes Duffield Road, Dorset Avenue, The Causeway, Foxholes Road, Gallywood Road, Hall Road, High Street, New Road, Lambourne Chase and the smaller roads attached to them.
Cycling and walking routes
From the South - walking only
Great Baddow Barn (1.2km approx.)
Drop off at Great Baddow Barn. follow Gallywood Road and continue to the end in the road. Use the public footpath and follow onto Duffield road to reach Great Baddow High.
From the West - cycling only
Sandon Park and Ride (3.3km approx.)
Drop off at Park and Ride Terminus. Follow Maldon Road. Turn left onto High St and then turn right onto Foxholes. Turn left onto Rothmans Avenue. Turn left onto Dorset Avenue, then turn right onto Duffield Road to reach Great Baddow High.
Bus routes
There are plenty of buses which connect the school with other parts of Great Baddow, as well as Galleywood on the edge of Chelmsford. A number of buses go right past the main entrance including First Bus Essex 51 and 57.
